جزر المالديف من أشهر وأجمل الجزر المعروفة بالشواطئ الفيروزية النقية ولكن بالقرب من العاصمة ” ماليه ” يوجد أسوأ منظر قد تشاهده في هذه الجزر ألا وهي كمية النفايات والتلوث البيئي الذي دمر جزر بأكملها حيث بلغت كمية النفايات 330 طن وذلك بسبب زيادة عدد السياح في هذه الجزر مما يسبب في انتشار المواد السامة في البحر إضافة إلى الروائح الكريهة الناتجة منها.
